Some ways are to have the companies that pay you to post their advertisements, or to put Google Adsense on your blog. With Adsense, google pays you every time someone clicks on your advertisement. In order to become a good blogger, here are some steps that you can take:

1. Choose a company to blog with. The most popular ones are Wordpress and Blogger.
2. Decide if you want to host the blog on your own domain or a free account. Most people choose to buy their own domain to make their blog look more professional. If you choose to do this, you would need to sign up with a company that provides hosting plans. 
3. Once your blog is set up, you can decorate it the way you want it. In wordpress, there are a lot of template themes from which you can choose your favorite design.
4. Keep posting something on your blog in order to keep it active. Be it News, tutorials, stories etc.
5. Advertise your website/blog on social networks, amongst friends or any other traffic source.

It may take some time to establish a blog properly, but the profit can be quite huge. There are reports of some people making millions from blogging. The earnings vary on some factors like how much traffic you are getting on your blog, how interesting is your content, how regular you update and the types of ads you post on your blog.
